October 16-20

Conference week is here! Please please please arrive on time for your conference. I have conference scheduled every 30min so it is important that we start on time in order for myself and your child to share everything. Also, remember that here at Addison we hold student led conferences which means your child will be sharing their data and work samples so please remember to bring them along! :)

What is your child learning this week?
This week we will begin our unit on Time. Students in first grade are expected to tell time to the hour and half hour. In Language Arts we will be learning about verbs, nouns, and adjectives. We will visit the Science Lab this week to begin our unit on Magnets. With report cards finally finished we should be getting back to our normal reading groups, finally! :) There will also still be a spelling test on Friday and homework packet sent home Monday.

**Please remember to send in a healthy snack each day! Our emergency snack stash is starting to run low. Thank you!**
