What is your child learning this week?

In Math we will continue to work on our understanding of place value. During Language Arts we will begin our phonics unit on the final S family blend. Please remember that students will still have homework this week as well as a spelling test on Friday. During our Reading time we will continue practicing our Daily 5 rotations. Students have now begun to participate in two different rounds of Daily 5. In writing, we will begin discussing Narratives and expectations for overall writing in 1st grade. In Social Studies we will move into learning about Continents and Oceans. On Friday, I will have a special treat for the kids to celebrate our completion of the CoGat :)
