Week of January 16th - 19th

What is your child learning this week?
In math we will continue to work on comparing both one and two digit numbers using the correct signs and explanation of place value. Towards the end of the week we will begin working on mentally adding and subtracting 10 to any given number between 10 and 100. Our phonics words this week focus on the long e sound (ee,ea). There is a repeated sight word in the phonics (three) so really there are only 9 new spelling words this week :) We will continue learning about Lewis and Clark during our Social Studies time and begin learning about opinion writing with some fun popcorn activities.

**As this flu season appears to be getting worse please make sure you keep an extra eye out for any signs. We want to keep as many germs as we can out of our classroom to avoid any extra sicknesses. Also, if anyone would like to donate some Lysol or Clorox disinfectant wipes it would be greatly appreciated! We have plenty of baby wipes but unfortunately they don't get rid of the germs.**
